Mr. Trink Gossett, 92, of Rt. 1, Crockett, died Saturday, July 14, in the Houston County Hospital. Mr. Gossett, a retired farmer and rancher, was born May 20, 1881, in Houston County. Mr. Gossett's parents were prominent pioneer settlers of Crockett and Houston County, and he was the father of the late Dozier Gossett. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. E. D. Sarratt of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the New Energy Cemetery. Pallbearers were William McAnally, Louie McAnally, Billy Graham, Jimmy Potter, T. B. Minter and J. C. Minter. Survivors include a brother, Wilsie Gossett of Crockett; a grandson, Dozier Payne Gossett of Pasadena; also several nieces and nephews. Callaway Funeral Home of Crockett was in charge of arrangements.
