Funeral services for George E. Acker, age 59 who passed away Sunday morning April 22 at Gadsden were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Macedonia church. The Rev. W.B. Shirey officiating, interment was in the adjoining cemetery, Brown-Service directing.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie Acker; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lucille Caldwell of Gadsden, Mrs. Lois Jenkins of Albertville; and Miss Ruth Acker of Albertville Rt. 3; 3 sons Glenis C. Acker of Crossville, James C. Acker of the U.S. Navy and W.A. Acker, of Boaz; his m other Mrs. Akridge of Boaz; 5 sisters, Mrs. Eva Turner, Mrs. Mirtice Mitchell, Mrs. Gusta Hale, Mrs. Grace Scott and Mrs. Lorene Copeland, 6 grandchildren.
