Joan Marie Delort, age 76, of Manhattan, KS, formerly of Frankfort, IL went to be with her Savior on November 6th, 2009. She was born on December 29, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Rudolph Brokopp and Marie Brokopp (Hink) She was united in marriage to Aloysius Delort on May 20, 1961. This union was blessed with three children, son Greg and daughters Pam and Melissa. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Aloysius. Survivors include Son Gregory and wife Julie (Johns) of Manhattan, KS, Daughter Pamela and her husband Chuck (Thorp) of Manhattan, IL and Daughter Melissa and her husband James (Wogan) of Coon Rapids, MN, grandchildren, Brad, Brian, Connor, Aletheia, Adam, Andreas, and Tasha. Joan was a loving wife and mother. She was a devoted and caring friend to many people throughout her life. She had a unique concern for those people who are often overlooked by others. She lived her life in such a way as to consistently provide care for the hurting. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, November 11, at 7:30 PM following visitation from 5:00-7:30.
