Edra P. Williams, 91, of Trimble, Ohio, died on Sept. 25, 2000 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens.

She was born Feb. 16, 1909 in Trimble to Ed and Rhoda Gift Lantz. She married Gomer E. Williams in 1943, and he died in 1975.

She is survived by two sisters, Neva Lantz and Minnie Chadwell, both of Trimble; a brother, Rex Lantz of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Worthel and Willard Lantz.

A 1926 graduate of Glouster High School, she receiver her BS in education from Ohio University in 1937. She formerly taught school at Trimble Elementary/Mad River Elementary in Dayton and at Allen East Elementary in Lafayette. She retired from teaching in 1967. She was a member of the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, Hardin County Retired Teachers Association, the First Methodist Church of Lafayette, and Liberty Grange.

Funeral services were held Sept. 29 in Jagers & Sons Funeral Home in Athens, with the Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, Ohio. Graveside services were conducted by Pastor Mickey Kimball.
