Ligonier
M. Jeannette Bell, 91, of Ligonier, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, in Ligonier Gardens. She was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Fairfield Township, a daughter of the late Isaiah Frank and Martha Marie Edmundson Ray. Mrs. Bell was a member of Covenant Presbyterian church, where she had been a former Sunday School teacher. She worked as a part-time secretary for the Ligonier Township Municipal Authority during the 1960s and 1970s. She is survived by two sons, Arthur and wife Janet, Ligonier, and Ray and wife Karen, East Palestine, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Merle Ray and wife Helen, Massachusetts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Bell, in 2006; and two brothers, Donald and William Ray. Friends were received at the J. Paul Mccracken Funeral Chapel, Ligonier, where funeral services were held Monday with her pastor, the Rev. Robert D. Cummings, officiating.
Interment was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
