Karen was born in New Brunswick, NJ; she was the daughter of James and Marie (Rolfe) Halsey.
She grew up in Edison and lived in Somerville and Bridgewater before moving to Raritan.
She was a graduate of Edison High School and Raritan Valley Community College.
She was a registered nurse at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater for 11 years and became the Director of Nursing 2 years ago.
Karen was a member and served on the Consistory at the United Reformed Church in Somerville.
She was a former Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader and a Sunday School Teacher.
Besides her parents, Karen is survived by her husband, Dennis and her two children, Ryan and Kelly Quinn
She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Kevin and Matthew Halsey and her sister, Susanne Hopewell.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
Burial will be in New Germantown Cemetery, Oldwick.
