Enlisted on 7/13/1861 at Jacksonville, FL as a Surgeon. On 7/13/1861 he was commissioned into Field & Staff FL 2nd Infantry. Detailed 2/4/1864 Howard's Grove Hospital, Richmond, VA (Surgeon in charge).
