She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, Stuarts Draft. She was born Sept. 19, 1892, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Randolph Franklin and Callie Pickrell Conner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ovie Rowe. She is survived by four sons, Marvin O. Rowe of Lyndhurst, James E. Rowe of Roanoke, Russell Rowe and Elsworth Rowe, both of Raphine; five daughters, Mrs. Joseph A. (Viola) Balser of Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Timothy E. (Geneva) Grove and Mrs. Samuel S. (Catherine) Balser, both of Lyndhurst, Mrs. David W. (Gladys) Hayes of Route 1, Greenville and Mrs. W. Milton (Mary Ellen) Showalter of Route 2, Waynesboro; one brother, Clyde Conner of Crimora; one sister, Mrs. Effie Coffey of Stuarts Draft; one half-brother, Elmer Conner of Philadelphia; two half-sisters, Mrs. Della Weeks of Waynesboro and Mrs. Ada Doyle of Alexandria; also, 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until one hour prior to the service when it will be placed in the Calvary Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Emory Ellmore, assisted by the Rev. John D. Martin with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Etter Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
