1938-2003
The funeral for Mr. Herman L. Arthur, 65, of 721 Weller Ave., LaPorte, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Mr. Arthur died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at 3:52 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the charity of the donor's choice.
He was born June 9, 1938, in Alexander, Ill., to Osber and Lola (Denney) Arthur, and had lived all his life in the LaPorte area.
Mr. Arthur retired in 1980 as a molder for Maple City Casting after 25 years.
On Jan. 9, 1960, in LaPorte, he married Carol Sue Green, who died Feb. 8, 1985.
Also preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Kevin.
Surviving are two daughters, Deb Millington of LaPorte and Pam Potter of Rockville, Ind.; three sons, Tom, Daniel and Bud, all of LaPorte; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorene Courtney of Jacksonville, Ill., and Emogene Koehn of LaPorte.
