Ann's husband John served as a Confederate Soldier in the Civil War from 1862 to 1865. Ann died in Maryland, because she moved with her son-in-law (Charles Robinson Jones) to take care of her grandchildren in Maryland, since her daughter Cora had died earlier. When she died, her body was taken back to her hometown of Berryville to be buried next to her husband John.
