A funeral Mass for Yvonne M. Cardy (nee Crowley), will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St Mary of the Woods, Chicago. Born May 2,1916, in Lincoln, Neb., she died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at home, Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. A graduate of Mundelein College, Chicago,Mrs. Cardy was assistant food editor, from 1938-1943, for the Chicago Tribune. Wife of the late Dr. Donald K Cardy, who preceded her in death in 1991, she is survived by her children, Fr. William E. Cardy of Aniak, Alaska, Mary T. Cardy of Gurnee, Donald J. (Margaret) Cardy of Ingleside, Sally (Andrew) Mosko of Vernon Hills and Carol (Gary) Cardy-Cueno of Lincolnshire; grandchildren, Kristin and Benjamin Mosko and Frank Cardy; and brother Bernard (Colleen) Crowley of Elk Grove Village. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Crowley. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass Wednesday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Bishop of North Alaska, 1316 Peger Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709.
