He was born on October 7, 1943, in Climax, the son of Virgil Lloyd "Mike" Sr. and Alice Irene (Moore) Stuber.
He was raised in Eureka, attending school in Tonovay, where he graduated. He joined the United States Army during Vietnam. When he returned from the war he started working for the City of Eureka in the Water Department, later becoming the sexton of Greenwood Cemetery. He retired from that position in 2005. He was a member of the Horse Racing Association. He also donated the "Eureka Welcomes You" rock on the west side of town.
One December 23, 1975, he was united in marriage to Peggy Knudsen. This marriage later ended in divorce.
He is survived by one daughter, Stacy Randle of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil Stuber of Eureka and Roger Stuber of Concordia; four sisters, Barbara Butler, Sherry Williams and Peggy Hawthorne, all of Eureka and Julie Clopton of Olathe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
