78, of Phoenix, passed peacefully on November 7, 2009. Survived by his sister Virginia Cooney of Tampa Florida, wife Barbara of Sanibel Florida, sons Glenn, Scott, and Kevin and daughters Rita Chard, Loretta Matthews, and Marybeth Ermmarino as well as 12 grandchildren. Joe grew up in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn New York and served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated the White Shutter Inn in Brooklyn and raised his family in Floral Park NY. Retiring to Arizona in 1987, Joe made and enjoyed many friends who love him. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Service to be held November 20th at 2:30 PM at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Arizona.
