Born March 11, 1919, in Brockway, she was a daughter of the Rev. Albert and Lucille Briggs Renwick.
Mrs. Johnston was employed in sales for children's clothing at Wein's Clothing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion.
Mrs. Johnston was married to Robert A. Johnston, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William (Suzanne L.) Kahle of Summerville; four grandchildren, Kelly Sloan, Mary Kahle, Mike Kahle and Tom Kahle; and eight great-grandchildren, Corey and Crista Hankey, Elijah and Malachi Kahle, Eden, Nathan and Joshua Kahle, and Jeremiah Kahle. She also is survived by two sisters, Mary Sloan of Brockway and Betty Youngdahl of Brockport. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant and William Renwick.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Goble Funeral Home of Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Arnold Rhoades and the Rev. Rich Harry officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarview Memorial Park.
