Warren Youth, 17, Crushed by Tractor
Warren - A 17-year-old Warren youth become the third Huntington County fatality involving a tractor at 6 p.m. Wednesday when he fell from the front end of one and the rear wheels crushed him.
Roger E. Boxell, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boxell of R. R. 3, Warren, died en route to the Huntington County Hospital in an ambulance.
Boxell and a companion had just taken a load of tomatoes to the Butterfield Packing Co. and were on their way home when the accident occurred, according to Sheriff Harry E. Walter.
The accident took place on County Road 400, one-half mile south of Ind. 3. Driver of the tractor was Gary Gray, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Gray of R. R. 4, Huntington.
The body was taken to H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at Warren, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
