Ruby Jean McCormack Pinegar, age 90, of Hayden, formally of Sumiton and Jasper, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004. She was of the Protestant Faith and was retired from V.J. Elmore Store after 10 years of service. She was the Postmistress at the former Littleton Post Office.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Buck Pinegar and by 2 sons, William Leonard and John Earl Pinegar. She is survived by her son, Joe Neil Pinegar of Jasper, daughter-in-law, Shelby Pinegar of Sumiton; daughter, Lina Jean Tidwell of Las Vegas, NV, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, brother Theron McCormack of Bagley, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Tate officiating. Burial will follow at West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-9p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home.
