Adele was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1924, and Wyoming Seminary School of Business, class of 1925. She was employed by Wyoming Seminary for more than 40 years, first as secretary for the dean and later as alumni secretary. She was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Plymouth Chapter. She was a member and former president of the Past Matrons Association of the Wyoming Valley Order of the Eastern Star. She was a charter member and former dean of the Wilkes-Barre Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, a member of the Irem Temple Women's Auxiliary and the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. She had served as treasurer of the Wyoming Conference of United Methodist Women. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre.
