Chester L. Lankford, 61, Holland, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg on Wednesday, July 15, 1987.

He was born at Holland April 21, 1926, to John and Lida (Posers) Lankford.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rosena Broeker; five daughters, Nancy Kelley, Mary Rogers, Linda Snyder, Judy Gilliat and Jackie Keeper; two sisters, Eva Mae Cooper and Myrie Yates; six brothers, Carl, Clyde, Hollis, Harold, Jim and Otis; 16 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lankford, a World War II veteran, was retired from Holland Dairy and was a member of the Holland Methodist Church.

Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. The Rev. Tom Stiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Holland Methodist Cemetery. The Holland American Legion Post will conduct military rites.
