She married James Monroe Stout on 1-1-1878 in Collin County, Texas. Her parents were James Warren Curtis and Mary Ann "Polly" Collom (born 1-7-1828). Her maternal grandparents were William Collom and Martha "Patsy" McKinney. For some unknown reason, Margaret Jeanette was raised by her maternal grandmother, Martha "Patsy" McKinney, and was seen living with her and her second husband (James McBride) in the 1860 and 1870 Census Reports, and not her parents. Her grandmother named her in her will (see FAG #240785037).
