Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Cincinnati, Ohio. He served as a Trumpeter in Company G, 1st US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action at the Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona on October 20, 1869. His citation reads "Gallantry in action". After his discharge from the United States Army, he disappeared into history, and his subsequent life and final disposition remain unknown.
