Barbara R. Peart, age 86, passed away at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston, WY, on August 27, 2010. Barbara was born on January 14, 1924, in Woodruff, Utah, the daughter of Raymond and Lois H. (Porter) Rees. She married Gordon H. Peart on July 12, 1943, in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 1, 1944. Her husband, Gordon, preceded her in death on December 14, 1978. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held several positions including serving in the Relief Society Presidency, primary teacher, and a visiting teacher. She was a member of the D.U.P., Ladies Card Club, The Utah Cattlewomen (State President) and a 4-H Leader. Barbara enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, and gardening. She is survived by her children, two sons: Gordon Rees (Lana) Peart, and Gregory (Becky) Peart; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters, and her twin sons. Visitation will be held at the Randolph L.D.S. Church on Monday evening, August 30, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on the day of the services. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Randolph L.D.S. Chapel, with Bishop Douglas Bingham officiating. Interment will follow services at the Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, UT. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston, WY.
