James Hood Franklin better known and called "Jimmy" was a cross country truck driver. At the time of his death he worked for Tyler Pipe Industries of Tyler Texas.
He was killed instantly while driving his truck.
He left behind his wife, Ruby Franklin, three small children, Duane Evan (deceased), Vicki Lynn (deceased) and Brenda still living.

Ruby at the time of Jimmy's death was still a young woman, she went on to marry some time later a fine and good man, my Uncle, Joe Franklin (no relation to Jimmy)of Tyler Texas, also a cross country truck driver, and together Joe and Ruby had one child, a daughter.

My Grandma (Mother to Joe Franklin) said to me that Jimmy used to come into the cafe where she worked at in Tyler Texas, a place called Jerry's Cafe. She said he was a happy go lucky person always had a smile on his face. Grandma said that Jimmy was well liked, had many friends, and was loved by his family near and far.

Jimmy is with his two children, Duane and Vicki and I know they are walking the streets of glory, hand in hand.
God Bless each of them, eternally.
