Mrs. Vera Mae Sherman
Mrs. Vera Mae Sherman, 82, died Thursday, October 1 at Manhatten Health Care Center in Jackson.
Mrs. Sherman was a native of Simpson County and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Bridgeport Community of Simpson County.
Funeral services were held October 2 at 2 p.m. at Stringer’s Funeral Hime Chapel in Crystal Springs with Rev. E. N. Sullivan officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Simpson County.
Survivors are two sons, Edward Sherman of Pearl and Billy Sherman of Mendenhall; four daughters, Mrs. Nell Berry of New Hebron, Mrs. Chris White of Crystal Springs, Mrs. Virginia O’Brian of Bassfield, and Mrs. Carolyn Paramore of Forest; sister, Mrs. Vermell Harvey of Mendenhall; brother, Ford Dickerson of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews of Mrs. Sherman; Mickey Morris, Kevin Sherman, Demmon Sherman, Dan Sherman, James Earl Harvey and Tommy Joe Harvey.
