Albert M. Ziglar was born December 12, 1850, in Addison, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, the son of John T. Ziglar and Elizabeth Augustine. He died on November 29, 1894, a resident of Middletown, Iowa.

He married Florence L. Crawford. In the 1880 census of Middletown Albert’s occupation is listed as carpenter. Shortly before his death, the Mt. Pleasant Daily News reported on August 7, 1894, that “Mr. Al. Zigler of Middletown is building a residence of Isaac Fetterman.”
