Mrs. Mamie G. Edwards, 66, of 621 Est Mill street, died at Elsie's Nursing home at 102 Hackberry street at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday.
The daughter of william and Rose Harmom Showman, she was born in Keokuk county October 2, 1889. She has been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 38 years.
In addition to her husband, Willie, she is survived by three sons, John, Charles and Walter Six, all of Ottumwa; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Gibbs of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Freda Fleming of Elmont, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Lewis of Kansas City, Mo.; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Mrs. Elsie Mitchell and Mrs. Annabelle Refern, both of Ottumwa; one half-brother, James Glandon of Cedar Rapids; five stepchildren, Mrs. Bessie Chilcote of Barnes City, Mrs. Robert West of Keokuk, Mrs. Margaret Clark of Knoxville, and Jay and Thomas Edwards, both of Ottumwa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie G. Edwards, 66, wife of Willie Edwards of 621 East Mill street, who died at Elsie's Nursing home at 1021 Hackberry street Wednesday, will be held at the Johnston funeral chapel Saturday at 3 p.m. In charge of the service will be the Rev. Jord Ruby of Sigourney. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery north of Hedrick. Pallbearers will be George Handling, Lawrence Handling, Steve Handling, Oren Handling, Douglas Utterback and Leslie H. Albertson.
