The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Ada J. Rost, age 90, of Hernando, Florida, will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2009, at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Pastor Ernest Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Florida. Friends may call 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. She was born May 23, 1919, in Harland, KY, daughter of Albert and Blanche (Burke) Carmack. She died November 13, 2009, in Hernando, FL. She was a Homemaker. She moved to Hernando, Florida, from Dade County, Florida, in 1969. Mrs. Rost was a member of First Baptist Church of Hernando; the V.F.W. Auxillary and the Military Order of Cooties Auxillary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Mrs. Rost was preceded in death by father, Albert Carmack; mother, Blanche Carmack; son, Charles F. Rost; brother, Charles Carmack; brother, Roy Carmack; sister, Edna Bolton; and daughter in law Sandra M.Rost. Survivors include husband, Harry C. Rost of Hernando, FL; son, Harry G. Rost (Genny) of Rincon, GA; son, Timothy M. Rost of Hernando, FL; sister, Jolene Moran of Newport, NC; grandson, Steven Rost; granddaughters, Gale Sharpe, Christina Hein, and Kayla Cox; great-granddaughters, Casey Royal, and Stacey Torrence, and Savannah Cartee; great-grandsons, Thomas Torrence, Slater Rost, Dillon Jordan,and Christopher Ward; great-great-granddaughter, Anna Nicole; great-great-grandson, Gauge. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
