RUSSELLVILLE – Earl R. Keener, 93, of Russellville, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in a Russellville hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1916, at Onyx, to Odie and Nellie Bell Sconce Keener, he enjoyed bird hunting and was a member of Bakers Creek Baptist Church, Nail Benders of Arkansas and Masonic Lodge 641, Plainview. He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Judy Terry, Blanch Godwin and Norma Dale, one brother, Clyde Keener, one nephew, Lance Cunningham, one niece, Betty Sullivan, and his mother-in-law, Floy Forrest.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Flora Keener; two sisters, Mildred Cunningham, of Plainview, and Mary Jo Jones, of Seven Bays, Wash.; nieces; nephews; and friends.
The service were at 2 p.m. Monday Nov 16 in First Baptist Church, Plainview, the Revs. Doug White and Monroe Hunt officiated.
Burial followed at New Bethel Cemetery, Plainview, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
