HEINRICH HESSELBERG DIES
FORMER RESIDENT OF CARTHAGE WAS NATIVE OF RUSSIA
Heinrich Hesselberg, 79 years old, a former resident of Carthage, died at the Hesselberg home in Joplin yesterday after a short illness.
Mr. Hesselberg was born May 3, 1838 in Riga, Russia. He became a merchant and for a time he was in business in Moscow and Kiev, Russia. Later he entered into business in Berlin, and in 1908 he came to the United States. He lived in St. Louis before he came to Carthage. He moved from here to Joplin about four years ago.
Four children survive;
They are:
Miss Rhetia Hesselberg of Joplin
Dr. Cora Hesselberg of Dubuque, Iowa
Edouard Hesselberg of Toronto, Canada and
Mrs. Ella Davidoff of Russia. Mrs. Hesselberg died in February, 1915 in Joplin.
Funeral services were conducted at the residence, 419 Jackson Avenue in Joplin. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
