Ada Louise Gardner, 93, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Methodist Medical Center.

She was born April 22, 1914, in Stainsville [sic Stainville], Tenn., the daughter of Luther and Martha Phillips Jones.

She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, word-find puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Alexander Gardner Sr., on March 17, 1993.

She is survived by: sons, Tom Gardner Jr., and wife, Phyllis, and Joe Gardner Sr. and wife, Jamia, all of Clinton, and Ray Gardner Sr., and wife, Annie, of Oak Ridge; daughter, Sally Gardner of Oak Ridge; sister, Dinah Cook of Clinton; grandchildren, Jim Gardner and wife, Michelle, of Lenoir City, Scott Gardner and wife, Sherri, of Corbin, Ky., Joe Gardner Jr. of Powell, Terry Gardner and wife, Angel, Ray Gardner Jr., and wife, Roseanne, all of Oak Ridge, and Lori Butler and husband, Greg, of Knoxville; step-grandchildren, Dustin LaRue and wife, Tonya, of Clinton, Kayla Rodgers and husband, Matt, and Chelsea Potter and Katherine Potter, all of Oak Ridge; great-grandchildren, Chris Gardner, Shyla Gardner, Jordan Gardner, Jacob Gardner, Sheena Price and husband, Jack, Eli Gardner, Ezra Gardner, Alex Butler and Seth Butler; and step-great-grandchildren, Cory LaRue, Connor LaRue, and Isaac Rodgers.

Funeral services are Friday, April 11, 2008, at 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Robbie Leach officiating. Graveside services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
