Our wonderful sweet Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away on November 13, 2009 due to complications of surgery. She resided at 168 East 1020 North in Orem, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born February 22, 1923 to John M. and Jane Bell Thacker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She married Delbert Thompson and had two daughters, Karen (George) Storey and Tamera (Jack) Allshouse. They were later divorced. She married Joseph Lee Schaugaard and they had one son Ronnie Lee (Kim) Schaugaard.
Her greatest joy was hosting Thanksgiving Dinner at her house. Attending BBQs with her children and having any of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren drop in for a visit. She especially enjoyed the smallest chldren and talked for days about the cute things they did.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Jane Thacker her husband Joseph, daughter Tamera Allshouse, brothers Murry, Ellis, Wilson, and Dallas, sisters Kelsey, Piccola, snd Sarah.
She is survived by her daughter Karen, son Ron, sisters Nora and Leona as well as the eight grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren who will miss her very much.
To this grand Lady all we can say is..Thanks for all the sweet love you gave us, and for being there when we needed you. We love you and we will miss you!
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, and also Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Graveside Services.
