Mr. Arthur P. Eunice, Jr., 88, died Tuesday evening (October 14, 2014) at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Pierce County but had been living in Ware County most of his life.
He was a retired lineman with the Georgia Power Company after forty years of service. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was of the Baptist and Methodist faith.
Mr. Eunice was a son of the late Arthur Paul Eunice, Sr. and Alitha Gill Eunice. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Allen and one brother, Earl Eunice.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce D. Eunice of Waycross; son, Arthur Paul Eunice III (wife Nancy) of Waycross; four grandchildren, Wendy Webster (husband Chris) of Waycross, Brenda Thigpen of Blackshear, Eddie Martinkoski of Waycross and Chuckie Martinkoski of Waycross; eleven great grandchildren, Ashley Rittenhouse (special friend Trent Scott) of Waycross, Kevin Lamar Rittenhouse, Jr. of Waycross, Kyndell Webster of Waycross, Abby Thigpen Booth (husband David) of Blackshear, Thomas Thigpen (wife Dara) of Waycross, Heather Martinkoski of Waycross, Chris Martinkoski of Waycross, Joey Martinkoski of Waycross, Max Martinkoski of Waycross, Taylor Martinkoski of Waycross and Holly Martinkoski of Alma; 1 great great grandchild, Kalleigh Grace Thigpen; special friend, Christian O'Berry ; several nieces , nephews , other friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday (October 19, 2014) in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will be receiving friends 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Music Funeral Home.
