Lawrence V. Brennan, 70, of 410 Virginia St. in West died Thursday morning in a Waco hospital.

Rosary was recited Friday, Dec. 5 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West with Rev. Victor Goertz officiating. Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Brennan was born in Minot, N.D., but had lived in the West area for the past 33 years. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Victoria Brennan; three sons, Larry Brennan of Dallas, Tom Brennan of Garland and Leroy Brennan of Temple; three daughters, Mrs. Willie (Maxine) Hammonds of Waco, Mrs. George (Pat) Hutyra of Waco and Mrs. Dennis (Vicky) Long of Garland; one brother, C. Brennan of Seattle, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Purdy and Mrs. Ann Lindemann, both of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Harriet Ahmann of Buckley, Wash., and Mrs. Mary Lindmann of Minot, N.D.; 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Mark Hammond, Jeff Hutyra, Larry Scott, Bernard Chudej, Ernest Tobola, Jr., and Charles Welch.
