"Mrs. Adelia Desporte, one of the oldest inhabitants of Biloxi and a member of a prominent family in Biloxi and on the coast, died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home on Lameuse street. She was aged 73 years and 9 months and was the wife of the late Clodamir Desporte. Her maiden name was Delaunay. Deceased was born in New Orleans but had lived here all of her life. Mrs. Desporte was the mother of several children as follows: Mrs. John W. Henley; Emile Desporte, Mrs. Emily Bayhi, the latter of Plauemine, La.; Peter Desporte; Mrs. A. Vanse and Miss Lala Desporte. Mrs. Desporte lived a long and useful life and was much loved and respected. She was a member of the Catholic church. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the late residence on Lameuse street."
