Robert married Ellen Brighton in Ireland around 1829, all of their six known children were born prior to the family coming to America. The first evidence I have in America is the 1860 Census when the couple lived in Youngstown, New York. Robert was farming with the help of his son Thomas age 23. By 1870 the couple lived with Thomas' family in Lewiston. They likely remained there until their respective deaths.
