Kenneth (Pop) Blankenship, 59, of Caryville, passed away at 10 p.m. Monday at Doctors' Hospital in LaFollette. He was a retired policeman from Detroit, Michigan. Member of Masonic Order and a Veteran of World War I. Survivors: wife, Rose Graham Blankenship, Caryville; son, Raleigh of Detroit; sisters, Mrs. M. E. Baird of Jellico; Mrs. Ella Hutson, W. Va., Mrs. W. R. Blankenship of Newcomb; brothers, W. N. of Kentucky, E. J. of Knoxville, J. R. of Detroit, Fred of Newcomb, Millard of W. Va., a great host of friends. Services Thursday 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home chapel, Lake City. Interment in Newcomb Cemetery. Military honors at the grave.
