She was actively involved in the Baptist Church's Christian Women's Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Joplin, for 61 yrs. There, she deeply valued the many friendships she developed over the years. She also sang in the church choir as well as taught Sunday school for many years.
Her hobbies included:
Ima participated in the Mission Quilters group;
* Crossword puzzles
* Reading
* Growing African Violets
