Michael Ernest Wasser, 56, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Birchman Baptist Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Mike was a public servant, serving four years as mayor of Sansom Park, 25 years in the fire department, 20 of those as chief. Mike was an influence to thousands of people and impacted the lives of many. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Carl Wasser.
Survivors: Wife, Della Wasser; daughters, Kelly and Shirley Wasser; granddaughter, Cassidy Gotcher; brothers, Ricky Wasser, Barry wasser and wife, Carla, Dick Wasser and wife, Emily, and Carl T. Wasser and wife, Patricia; mother, Pauline Wasser; son-in-law, Jeff Whitley; a host of other family and friends; and his fire department family.
