Mrs. Kate Blansett Dies at Age 81

Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Norwood Blansett, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Clemons, Houston, Route 1, at 6:15 am, Saturday, June 27, were conducted from the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. R V Mathis officiating. She was 81.

Interment was in the Rhodes Chapel Cemetery with Norman Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Blansett was born April 29, 1878. She was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

She is survived by seven sons, Walter Blansett and Bill Blansett of Houston, Willie Blansett of Pontotoc, Ollie Blansett and Quitman Blansett of Pheba, Riley Blansett of West Point and Aaron Blansett of Pheba; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Clemmons, Mrs. Nora Higgingbotham and Mrs. Loma Walters, all of Houston; a brother, Hollis Hudson of Ruleville, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Letha Jan McKinney of Houston, and 40 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
