Military Record (from Harry Ide at [email protected]):
He was enlisted on 2 August 1861 (5, 6). He was mustered into service and commissioned captain on 20 November 1861. He served as captain of company F.
On 29 June 1862, he, along with the other commissioned officers in the regiment (except Colonel Gregory), signed a statement denying accusations that they were on the verge of open mutiny, that the regiment had been reduced to 400 men, and that Colonel Gregory was too lenient to Confederates and too harsh to men in the regiment.
He resigned on 1 August 1862, on surgeon's certificate of disability.

He died of cerebral paralysis on 15 September 1891, in Moore, Delaware Co PA. He was living in Moore, Delaware County, Pennsylvania . He was then a "gentleman" (that is, not employed). He was buried on 18 September 1891, in Monument Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. Monument Cemetery in Philadelphia:
Once located at Broad and Berks Street in Philadelphia, all the interments were removed in 1956 to Lawnview Cem, Rockledge PA.
