DAR lineage book V. 149, p. 140 show him as "Joshua Griffin (1755-1831) m. 1774 Jane Losee (1755-1830), served as a private in Capt. Thomas Storm's Co., Col. Abraham Brinkerhoff's regiment, Dutchess Co., NY militia.
