Died, May 9th, 1893. Mr. T. L. Munson, of Holmwood township, aged 59 years. He was stricken with paralysis about two weeks ago, and so great was the shock that his system could not overcome it.

The deceased came to Jewell county from Missouri about fourteen years ago and settled in Holmwood township. He was deputy county treasurer under John Burns, and was afterwards twice elected to the office of county treasurer. Mr. Munson was a faithful obliging official, who reflected much credit upon himself for the faithful and efficient manner in which he discharged the duties of his office. He was a man with a high sense of honor and integrity and was highly respected by the people of Jewell county. He leaves a wife and young child to mourn his demise, besides his grown up children—G. B. Munson, of Washington township, and his daughter, Mrs. Collins, of Belleville. The entire community sympathizes with the bereaved relatives, in this, their sad and trying hour.
