Miss Mabel, the sixteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Carlson, died of Bright's disease Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock at her home on Monona Street. She had been ill about a year. The deceased was born December 18, 1882. At the time of her death she was a member of the second year class of the Boone High school and a bright and lovable girl whose death casts a gloom over a wide circle of relative and friends. Besides a father, and mother, two sisters, Mrs. John Doud of Cedar Rapids and Edith of this city and one brother, Joel, survive. The funeral took place Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Swedish Mission church, services being conducted by Rev. Young. Interment was in Linwood.
