Annie Vernelle McDonald, 52, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday in a local hospital following a short illness.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Hargrave officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Cemetery, with Lucinda Conner chapter Order of the Eastern Star rites under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home. Mrs. McDonald was born Nov. 6, 1934, at Simms, Texas. She was employed with Texarkana Special Education enter, member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, C. B. Club and Chapter 211 the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Ray E. [Edward] McDonald of Texarkana; one son, Robert McDonald of Texarkana; four daughters, Deborah Williams of Del [Dale] City, Va., Regina Magee of Mesquite, Texas. Rebecca Ardeneaux of Wake Village, Texas, and Brenda Mathews of Texarkana, Ark.; two brothers, James C. Wright of Texarkana and Elbert Wright of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Beatrice Wright of Texarkana; and 10 grandchildren [brother, David Edgar Wright (deceased 1971)].
The family will be at 1008 Richmond Road, Texarkana.
