Della Robinson is the eldest daughter of Tom and Nancy Robinson. As Della grew into a young lady she learned the millinery trade and was so employed in the village of Gladbrook. When the family moved to Brooklyn she became similarly employed in the nearby town of Malcom. Just as Tom was attracted to Nancy as a young man back in Norton, so was Billy Karr, the young Brooklyn dry goods merchant, attracted to Della, their blooming young daughter. They were married in Brooklyn on December 27, 1894. They enjoyed a long and happy life together and celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with the help of their daughter Katherine. And just as they were together all through life they died near the same time; he on January 17, 1947 and she the following June 4. Both were 79 at time of death.
