Born at Jolietville, Mr. Irwin operated a welding shop there before he began work at the Firestone plant at Noblesville during World War II. He retired in 1957.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Opal Irwin; two daughters, Mrs. Howard T. Barker of Carmel and Mrs. Robert DeMoss of Westfield; his mother, Mrs. Anna Hall of Indianapolis; two brothers, Charles Irwin of Indianapolis and Lee Irwin of Carmel, and four grandchildren.
