Robert Sechler, 1916-1996, passed away on June 7, at his home near Waterville.

He was survived by his wife, Thelma, daughter, Mildred Schrock; 5 sons, Joel (Kris), Thomas, Charles (Lois), Richard (Sharon) and Robert (Ann). Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was educated at Shattuck Military School, St Petersburg Junior College and Purdue University. He operated Farms in Sechlerville, Wisconsin until moving to Ohio in 1952. Thereafter, he was an automobile prototype and tooling inspector and worked on Aerospace Defense Projects from California to Connecticut.

He was also an Army veteran of WWII serving overseas. He served from 31 May 1944 to 8 Dec 1945 and received an Honorable Discharge as Technician Fifth Grade in the 951st Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company. He was discharged at the separation center, Camp Atterbury, IN. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal WWII. (3 months overseas)
