Husband of Glenna Jackson Atkins and son of Thomas Jefferson and Melissa Jane Lancaster Atkins. Native of Campobello, SC, and member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. Was dead on arrival Sunday afternoon at St. Lukes Hospital, from injuries received in an automobile accident in the Motlow Creek Community. Survivors included daughter; Mrs. Robert Barnwell, son; Charles Atkins, and seven grandchildren. He was 73 years of age at his death.
