WINIFRED "WINI" MASON
Winifred "Wini" Mason , 86, passed into spirit at Providence Mother Joseph's Care Center in Olympia, on Tues, September 20, 2005. Wini was born in Nicholasville, KY and mainly lived in Louisville, KY until 1978, when she and her husband moved to Yelm, Washington. Wini was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Willard Henry Duncan 1944, and second husband Bill Mason, 2000. Wini was an accomplished artist and musician and enjoyed playing popular tunes on her piano that people could sing along to. Wini was known for her beautiful smile and her ability to find beauty in everything and everyone she encountered. When Wini made the decision to go into hospice care, she asked that the following message be given to all of her friends and loved ones. "Tell them I'm glad I knew them and maybe I'll see them again the next time around." Wini said she had a grand life and she was ready to go Home. Her ashes will be sent back to Kentucky for burial. Wini loved the following adage. Rules for Angels: Take yourself lightly, sing softly, speak love and hope, sprinkle blessings wherever you go. Memorials may be sent to Providence Mother Joseph's Care Center or the Cancer Society. Ashes were given to her stepson, Charles Mason.
