Julia Ann Achenbach - born at Parkville, Mich., April 10, 1853, and died at Ravenna, Nebr., Sep. 30th, 1923, age 70 years, 7 months and 21 days. October 2nd, 1872 she married C.H. Freeland. To this union was born two sons, and one
daughter. In the spring of 1883 with her husband she came to Nebraska and settled on a homestead about two miles east of Litchfield on what is now known as the George Haller farm. In the year 1894 they moved to Ravenna, where she lived until her death.
She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Mrs. Maud E. Geist, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, also one sister, Sarah Austin of Grand Rapids, Mich., and one brother C.E. Achenbach of Litchfield, and a host of
friends.
