Mr. Bordelon passed away at his residence in Ville Platte on Saturday April 1, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. after a brief illness.
His body reposes at LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2006. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery in Bordelonville.
Mr. Bordelon, was 78 years old and was a native of Bordelonville, in Avoyelles Parish, and has resided in Ville Platte for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of Bordelonville High School, and he attended SLI (ULL) in Lafayette.
Mr. Bordelon served in the U.S. Air Force with the 332nd Troop Carrier Squadron in China. He was employed by Cleco for over 40 years, and served as the District Manager of the Ville Platte/Washington areas. He was also a past member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knight, with the Knights of Columbus. He was the past Grand Knight of Bunkie Council 2395 Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Bordelon was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Bordelon and Corinne Coco Bordelon; 5 brothers, Sidmore, Julius, Clifton, James, and Charles Bordelon. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Johanna Coco Bordelon, and his daughter, Juliana C. "Baby" Bordelon.
Survivors include 3 sons, Hugh, Jr., Neal, and Jody all of Ville Platte, and 4 daughters, Wanda Chapagne of Lafayette, Jennifer Primeaux of Kaplan, Nancy Easterling of San Diego, California and Mary D. Bordelon of Ville Platte; 5 grandchildren, Heather Soileau, and Eric Soileau, Carl Champagne and Chelsa Champagne and Dakota Watkins; 2 great grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Fontenot; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
